 The ProblemSend a huge RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) to Indonesia for the Red Cross, who were involved in the aftermath of the Tsunami in 2005. The boat was very large and needed full physical protection for handling from one ship to a small local “lighter” so that it could be taken to a small island. Further, a lot of the onboard equipment was thief attractive and had to be shipped un-noticed. The Solution A very large packing case and some expert Freight Forwarding knowledge – Physical handling now possible and anonymous so that the thieves could not see the attractive items. The Outcome The boat arrived at its destination unscathed and complete ready for action – Tsunami Relief Operations could now commence! |
