Reflecting on 2024

Last year was packed with exciting milestones for John Pipe.

We secured six prestigious awards, including the BIFA Award for Specialist Services to Freight, recognising our commitment to clear communication and continuous service improvement.

We won other awards such as the Stevie International Business Awards and the Innovation and Excellence Awards, a testament to our dedication to industry-leading solutions.

2024 also saw us strengthen its military partnerships, having joined the South-West Regional Defence Cluster and worked towards securing the Silver Employer Recognition Award after signing the Armed Forces Covenant in 2023.

Despite challenges, the team’s hard work and adaptability ensured another successful year of providing top-tier packing and freight services.

Exciting Plans for 2025

A major goal for us this year is achieving ISO14001 certification, an internationally recognised standard for environmental management.

With sustainable practices already in place, this certification will formalise the company’s commitment to reducing waste and improving resource efficiency.

We’re revamping our online presence! Our new website has a fresh look, enhanced user experience, and improved access to key information. Head to the homepage to take a look!

Celebrating Excellence at the BIFA 2024 Freight Service Awards

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) 2024 Freight Service Awards, hosted by James Cracknell OBE, gathered over 550 professionals from the freight and logistics industry for a memorable evening of celebration. Held at The Brewery in London, this milestone 36th anniversary event recognised the best in the sector, with nine award-winning companies and two outstanding individuals across 11 categories.

John Pipe International emerged victorious in the Specialist Services category, sponsored by Descartes + Thyme IT. The other finalists included Daily Freight Services Ltd, Irish Freight Solutions, Metro Shipping, and Samphire Cargo Ltd, each acknowledged for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

BIFA Director General Steve Parker congratulated the winners and finalists, recognising the hard work that led them to be shortlisted. This year, 34 freight forwarding companies were honoured across nine service categories, with six earning recognition in multiple categories. Additionally, 12 individuals were shortlisted for special awards, highlighting excellence in leadership and service.
